Station Upgrades

Listen to Synerdata.Net Radio: Tune In!

In 2004 I was given to write some advanced features into the station software, but due to unexpected distractions and interruptions throughout 2005 and 2006, I never got around to actually implementing them, and for that time, I have largely been relaying older programs, or doing the occasional token harvest, presenting new shows in the standard, pre-2004 format. In 2007, my love has had me getting back on top of all the work which has piled up here, and while it is slow going, I am starting to get caught up now.

I have just begun implementing some of the many new features of the latest version of our software, and the difference is entirely noticable, and easily appreciable, and would be radically changing the way the station is run, and the way new programs are produced, as well as how I harvest and introduce new artists and releases. Central to the new presentation is the expansion of our artist information database, where now, it is possible to fluently embed far more information about each artist/track, upon the introduction and closing comments. Integration of this new feature is expected to be slow, but consistant, as new artists are added to The Secret Hidden Underground Electronica Archives, and as previous artists are re-featured, I am attending to the development of their database files and internal artist intelligence and extemporaneous artist endeavors, and current affairs. These new features would provide a much more fluid, and streamlined program, and extend the intent of this radio show in keeping music fans informed, while allowing everyone to get to know the artists much better. There are more new advanced features in the works, like the long belated Synerdata News Subsystem, as well as the expected return of the Remote MP3-J/Listener Mixing interface, so you can program the shows, and the clickable artist direct URL RSS feed with track titles, and some of the other advanced systems which have been down since 2005, due to the wars.

NEW SERVER: The migration to our new server has been going fairly weirdly. While it appears as though much of the English speaking audience has made the migration without issue, it seems as though many of the station’s non-english listeners are not getting the message, and some have been spending over 30 minutes listening to a repeating message on the old server, saying we have moved. I feel really bad about that, for I would hate to loose anyone. In attempt to address this, I have tried synthesizing the announcement in German, and French, and in Italian, and in Dutch, and so hopefully, that half of the audience which has not yet made the migration would get the message sooner or later.

FINAL 2007 PROGRAMMING: To close out orbit 2007 in the weeks ahead, I am expecting to be presenting a mix both old and new releases, and special surprises.   I have been doing new live mixes most each day lately, and expect to be slowly adding new artists and new releases as the current program (73.4) advances to 73.9, as well as replaying some old programs so that I may update the artist databases files and update the production for when the station launches, to ensure everything is in top form, and ready for the masses, in that part.  Many artists have been waiting almost a decade now for this station to launch, and go public, and while it has been a long wait for some, everything is almost ready, and the times are almost upon us, and it is not possible to delay them much longer than has been accomplished…
